Cell Extracellular Matrix and EMT

EMT is a biological process that allows epithelial cells to undergo biochemical changes that enable it to assume the phenotype of a mesenchymal cell. Phenotypic changes include ability to migrate, invasiveness, resistance to apoptosis, and increased production of extracellular matrix components.
